Decorations Guild

In 1945, a few talented women started a special project for raising funds to help purchase the property now known as the Marin Art and Garden Center. The project entailed the making and selling of Holiday wreaths, swags, and garlands from the beautiful, fresh, green materials so abundant in Marin County.

In 1954, this group, now known as the Decorations Guild was sponsored by the Marin Nature Group and became an Associate Member of the Center. In 1959, the Decorations Guild moved into its own building, where its showroom and workrooms accomodate daily enterprise.

Today, the Decorations Guild continues to maintain a high standard of quality and artistry and displays a choice selection of unusual items for its customers, including special orders for your home. Custom hand-made fur teddy bears can be created from your own fur coats in need of recycling.

The Decorations Guild store hours are:

Monday through Friday: 10am - 4pm
The 1st Saturday of the month: 10am - 2pm
Bear Making: Thursdays 10am - 1pm
