Catering

Renters must choose from our list of our approved caterers. No outside caterers are allowed. While caterers may serve beer, wine and champagne, they must be licensed to serve hard alcohol. MAGC does not charge a corkage fee and does not allow caterers to charge corkage fees for our clients.

Liability Insurance
One-day liability insurance is required. The insurance certificate must name the Marin Art and Garden Center as additionally insured for up to $1,000,000. If alcohol will be served at the event, the certificate must reference alcohol.

Music
The Marin Art & Garden Center is located in a sound-sensitive residential neighborhood. All amplified music must be located indoors. Clients are asked to choose from our recommended list of DJ's and certain limitations exist for live bands. A signed Music/Sound Agreement is required. All music and all events must end by 10 p.m.

Parking
Ninety-eight parking spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the main parking lot on the Center grounds. Ample overflow parking is located on Laurel Grove and in Ross Common. Large events may require the use of valet or off-site parking.

Security
All events with a guest count exceeding 100 will require security services. Security will be arranged by MAGC and billed at the rate of $45 per hour.

Overtime Fees
Event overtime will be billed at a rate of $300 per hour. Overtime may not be booked beyond the Center closing time of 10 p.m.

Photo Shoots
All professional photographers wishing to use MAGC for photo shoots not associated with an existing rental on MAGC property must check in with the MAGC staff prior to the photo shoot. The shoot must be scheduled around other events taking place at MAGC and a fee of $20 is required for the use of MAGC as the photography backdrop. To schedule a photo shoot at the Center, please fill out the Photo Shoot Form or call 415-455-5260 x3.

Our seasoned event staff at the Marin Art & Garden Center are available to assist in making your event a success. A house manager and, if necessary, a security guard, will be on site during your event so you can relax and have fun!
